How should I prepare for the massage?
It's best not to have eaten a full meal or consumed any alcohol prior to the treatment. I also suggest you shower before the treatment for hygiene and your own comfort.
What should I wear during the massage?
It's entirely up to you. Your modestly always be fully covered with a towel in any case. It's your choice whether to keep your underwear on for the treatment.
Do you offer pregnancy massage?
Unfortunately I don't currently offer pregnancy massage.
Why hygiene precautions do you take?
Hygiene is extremely important, and unfortunately many therapists and spas overlook some of the basics. Firstly, I will always wash my hands in warm soapy water before and after the treatment, and I carry anti-bacterial sanitiser with me. I ask clients to provide their own large towels (one to lie on and one for me to cover you with), so you can be 100% confident in their cleanliness. It's also best to have a smaller towel to cover the head rest. I will wear a face mark throughout the visit and ask clients to do so when face up. It is preferable to have ventilation in the treatment room.
What oil do you use?
I use a professionally-supplied, very lightly scented massage oil containing soya bean and wheatgerm oil. Soya bean is light, gentle and moisturising and therefore suitable for all skin types. Wheatgerm is rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants. Lavender oil and wheatgerm both relieve symptoms of dry and sensitive skin.
Would you use my own oil?
Yes I'm happy to use your oil if you prefer. Some clients have requested I use their own coconut oil which I am happy to use.
I'm on a high floor without a lift, is this a problem?
That's not a problem, but it would be helpful to know in advance so I can allow extra time.
How far in advance do I need to book?
I prefer 24 hours notice but sometimes I can do a same day booking up to 2 hours notice, subject to availability. Feel free to contact me for availability.
What payment types do you accept?
I accept cash and all major credit and debit cards. Cards are taken using a terminal I bring with me. I also accept Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. International cards may not be accepted by the machine and therefore I would recommend international visitors having cash as an alternative just in case.
Can I book a treatment for my son/daughter?
Provided they are over 18 this is fine.
What is your cancellation policy?
As party of the my new procedures to ensure my client safety, cancellations can now be made up to 2 hours prior to a treatment. If you know you must cancel, please let me know as early as possible.
My partner and I would like to book a couple's massage. Do you offer couple's massage?
Yes I can do one person at a time so I can massage your partner before or after you? I only need 10 minutes break in-between to get set up.
Do I need to provide towels?
Yes please. For hygiene reasons, I ask clients to provide two clean towels for treatments.
